Arash Zeini is awarded the AIS book prize for Ancient Iranian Studies

Arash Zeini was awarded the prize at the 13th Biennial Iranian Studies Conference in Salamanca.

We are delighted to congratulate our colleague Arash Zeini on receiving the AIS book prize for Ancient Iranian Studies.

The prize celebrates scholarly books in the field of Ancient Iranian studies and related fields published since 2020. This award is funded by AIS in honor of the late Dr. Ehsan Yarshater.

Arash's book, Zoroastrian Scholasticism in Late Antiquity. The Pahlavi version of the Yasna Haptaŋhāiti, examines Zoroastrian exegesis by investigating a late antique translation of an ancient Iranian text and it offers a fresh edition of the Middle Persian version of the Avestan Yasna Haptaŋhāiti.

The book is published by Edinburgh University Press and it is part of the Studies in Ancient Persia series.
